Our Continuum of Services for Cancer Care
The Baptist Cancer Center provides you with the complete continuum of cancer care from diagnosis and treatment to follow-up care. The BCC team takes an interdisciplinary approach to patient care making sure your every need is met, from emotional support to pain management. Through the BCC, Baptist Memorial Health Care offers treatment, research, support services, community education, and the area's first genetic counseling and testing program for cancer. In addition, the BCC has the Mid-South's first adult myelosuppression unit, which provides specialized care for patients who have received chemotherapy that interferes with blood cell production or stops bone marrow activity.
The Baptist Cancer Center represents the Mid-South's first adult, integrated, academic cancer program. Under the guidance of our region's premier oncologists, Baptist is building a new flagship cancer center in Memphis while recruiting nationally recognized physicians to our area. Baptist is also affiliated with the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt University. This partnership allows us to collaborate and share research, knowledge and resources toward the prevention and treatment of various cancers, all with the goal to further enhance the level of cancer care in our region.
