Multidisciplinary Cancer Care

Baptist Cancer Center offers one of the nation's few hospital-based multidisciplinary oncology units and care.

Patients who need to be treated for cancer are frequently forced to meet with several specialists at several different locations, resulting in multiple appointments that can span several weeks. With cancer, time is of the essence. Baptist Cancer Center brings together many specialists and cancer treatments all in convenient disease clinics to take a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care at the benefit of our patients who can receive treatments and diagnosis in one multidisciplinary clinic location near their homes.

What is a multidisciplinary clinic?

Multidisciplinary clinics are designed to bring together the expertise of various medical professionals in one convenient location for patients.

Multidisciplinary cancer clinics can offer patients access to:

  • Surgeons
  • Medical oncologists
  • Radiation oncologists
  • Holistic practitioners
  • Cancer resource specialists

All this expertise is in one multidisciplinary clinic location for comprehensive examination, testing, diagnosis, and treatment planning. This all-encompassing approach to cancer care effectively reduces the amount of time anxious patients spend waiting for answers and driving to and from appointments. We understand the stress that a cancer diagnosis can cause and at Baptist Cancer Center we have formed a team to be on your side and fight cancer with you from diagnosis to treatment. Your team of surgeons, oncologists, and nurses will work together in our multidisciplinary disease clinics to get you the best cancer care possible.

Multidisciplinary cancer clinic offerings
