Dr. Tomblyn is a board-certified radiation oncologist who has experience in private practice, academia and industry. His primary focus has always been to bring the most advanced cancer-fighting tools to his patients, including investigational therapies. Originally from Huntington, West Virginia, Dr. Tomblyn is the father of four school-aged children. He joined Baptist Medical Group in 2021.
The most important factor is open and direct communication. I take pride in being known as a physician who takes the time to talk extensively with my patients and break down complex medical concepts into everyday language.
I spend most of his free time coaching my kids’ sports teams. I also enjoy movies, music, and spending time outside with friends and neighbors.
Being an oncologist means having the honor of helping people during some of the worst moments of their lives. Being able to improve their quality of life with a smile, a joke, and compassionate care makes even the most challenging workdays ultimately rewarding.
